This book started off with some interesting fairy-tale-mixed-with-shapeshifter world building, and then developed into a boring account of two people trying to figure out the details of their sex life through the middle. Lots of graphically-detailed rape in this book, but the main characters are totally ok with it because it's the "bad guys" being raped. I wish I could unread it.

Wasn't sure if I would like a Dragon shifter book or not. But I have to say was like nothing I have ever read before. Was totally different. I did enjoy it. I think I would like to see what happens next in the series. Will say was some torture in this book. Was not my favorite parts but can see why it was there. I do recommend this book and the series of the MC as I have read it also. I think people should start with this book before the MC cause there is spoiler's in the MC about this book.
fun paranormal romance book... has some very hot sex scenes.. alot of alpha dominant men and BDSM! if you are looking for a wild and different book.. well this would be it!! I could not put it down, you have a swan princess that runs to the Dragon King for help... and you get one pissed off King of the swan world - yet.. swan and dragon babies????!!!! and throw in shifters, vampires and other paranormals along the way.. interesting book...
This was a love story with lots of twists and turns. Lots of action and some cruel moments. Which was well deserved. This love has grown in the heart of the Dragon Aaron for years. Sophia the Swan falls in love with Aaron. They are faced with lots of obstacles you have to read to find them out. Will they be together for all time as kind and queen or will they be torn apart? Go get this book so worth it.
He and two others are the last of their kind. Tales have been told that they are able to mate with a swan but no one is alive to tell how. Aaron has watched over the kingdom of the swans. His hope is one day he may understand the meaning of an age old tale. He wants what every other wants. A home, a partner and children. So when the Swan Princess comes to him for aid he sees an opportunity that he can not let slip out of his hands. Sophia does not want to marry a person she does not love. Nor does she want to continue to be someone else property. Never before has she left the Swan Kingdom. But now she risk all to gain her freedom or die trying. Suspense, hot sex, sexy characters and a strong willed woman.
I weighed my opinion by reading some of the other reviews before writing my own. I saw a lot of 4/5 stars that I agreed with and a lot of 2/3 stars that had aspects I agreed with.

I found this story really well written, but felt it was just a tad too methodical. It takes quite a bit of talent to write a good de-virginizing scene and I think Ms. Blevins handled it well. I guess I was wanting a bit more actual romance between Aaron and Sophia. all other books I've read that had dragon shifters in it portrayed the dragons as intense, powerful, possessive so I wasn't disappointed there. But I felt Sophia was topping from the bottom.

I did notice a few editing issues, but nothing major. I'm sure some would say why mention them then? I would have to say because it's an aspect of my review and I'm entitled to write anything. But just remember that reviews are OPINIONS and they aren't right or wrong, they just ARE.

All in all, I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more of Ms. Blevin's work.
This is a pretty epic romance and book. It twists and turns and tells the whole tale which is refreshing when too many romances end to soon.

What I love about it is that we know almost from the start that they want to be together. No messing around. So, we get oodles of couple time and lots of real conflicts internal and external that they need to overcome to make a love story that can last.

This world is rough. We have a cast of others and this book is gory as hell and the punishments for crossing the lines of power are violently detailed that uses sexual cruelty. This book may not be your gig. It manages to stay just this side of I can handle it for me because the world building is good enough that I accept that the torture is cultural and there wasn't an arousal expected to come from it on the part of the reader. However, I would have liked the book better if these sections were far less graphic and gleeful on the part on the punisher.

The character development of the heroine and heroine are as good as the world building. The struggle to become equals is well done and the love between them true.
