Can I just say I love the name Cavanaugh? I think it fits this alpha perfectly!!

Cavanaugh and Eloise are an interesting couple, for sure! Cavanaugh's a runaway alpha, and Eloise comes in to bring him back. Their relationship is tenuous, Cavanaugh left 10 years ago due to some disagreements he has with the rules of his back (again - without being too spoiler-y.) He's surprised when he meets Eloise again, and she's been molded into a different person than he remembers.

I love the spitfire in Eloise. How (under normal circumstances) she's ok with telling Cavanaugh what's what, no matter that he's the alpha of her pack. He definitely appreciates it, haha!

I found the pack dynamic of this story very interesting! Along with the location of the pack, and how far the couple have to go to get back home and the weather they have to go through! Heaton really captured the landscape of this one well!

As a side note - I'm still patiently waiting for Bleu's book. I know it has to be coming, right? BLEU NEEDS JUSTICE. And love. Lots of love!

Why, oh why, are there 5-10 pages between a question asked by one character and the answer by another character in this story? I've already seen this 3 times and I'm not a third of the way through the book. These pages don't describe an event, rather the feelings of the character. I've seen this in previous books in this series, but not to the extent I'm seeing it here. I dearly want to read Cavanaugh's story, but I may give up for this reason. It feels like a lot of padding.
this is a really great series. have read them all starting at the beginning.. in this one Cavanaugh is just waiting for his time to be over so that he can claim his mate Eloise. he's been gone for 5 yrs and the time is almost over. as he's working in the bar, a woman walks in and his snow leopard goes crazy and he knows it is his fated mate. she has been looking for him for over two years. the alpha that took over for him is horrible and she needs him to come back to release everyone from his torture.. the books is kind of slow at times to me. was good in that i liked the story, but i did skip thru some of it. and still couldn't tell i did. so it was good long winded but good.
This series always pulls me in with its descriptive worlds, and beautiful supernatural characters. Each a hero in their own way. Whether it be fighting other creatures or beating back their own inner demons. There's a great story tucked in there, where one overcomes their own insecurities. To raise up and be themselves, beyond expectations.

Cavanaugh a snow leapord shifter is no exception to this.while strategically avoiding his past. He is waiting out a time frame so he'll lose his status as Alpha in his village. 8 days before he's finally to be free of his status. His past walks through the door of Underworld, the Fae night club he's been working at. Of course it's the last person he expected. His fated mate Eloise. She begs him to return to the village and take his place as Alpha. Fighting every inner insecurity Cavanaugh reluctantly relents. Thinking he'll find a way to stall on the long trek home. Waiting out their custom of time.

Cavanaugh's character was so fun. His playful ways, was far from the man I expected. When mentioned in other books he seemed so closed off. Not in this book. He comes alive! You can tell that Eloise is his true other half. She brings out the playfulness in him.

The story progressed fast. I read it in one sitting. As always, its one book in a series but could easily be a stand alone.
One of the biggest reasons I read #PNR is to escape. Yeah, I get that the stories could still involve family problems, broken hearts, oppression and other issues that we can happen across on a daily basis but when they are wrapped up with well put together characters, new worlds and excitement, you tend to forget that the world around you exists - even if it's just for an hour or 3.....

With the Eternal Mates series, Felicity Heaton has created a vast new paranormal world, full of many different species that are as interesting and engaging as they are unusual!

Craved by an Alpha is the story of Cavanaugh and Eloise. This shifter pair have been friends for a long time - but haven't seen each other for nearly five years.
Due to a difference in status - stupid pride politics... - it's unclear how much further, if at all, their relationship went before Cav was forced into a role he didn't ask for and then finally left the pride, and Eloise, to escape a title that he never wanted.

Eloise turns up out of the blue needing him - but is it for herself or the good of the pride? While Cavanaugh has been in kind of self-imposed exile in Underworld, Eloise has been trapped back in the jungle of Bhutan under the rule of a cruel and vicious 'would be' alpha who seems hell bent on breaking and destroying any and all in the pride who don't bend to his will...

Due to the events in the years since they last saw each other Eloise is not the same strong and determined woman that Cavanaugh remembers and if anything, she seems even further away from him than she did when there was actual miles between them, but given that he is a Alpha male, and after all he's done to be in a position to claim his girls, our boy is determined not to let her go again - the question is, will be succeed!

I loved the story mainly because of the history between Cavanaugh and Eloise. The love and desire was still strong between them and was at times almost palpable throughout the book. Unfortunately, regardless of how much they both wanted more, due to a lack of communication, old misconceptions and misunderstanding, this pair never once let on just what they meant to each other!!!

Craved by an Alpha is a novella in a series that so far has been novels but this didn't take away from the pairs story. It may well have been obvious how things would turn out but you know what, not every character needs to go through heartbreak, devastation and despair to get to their happy place. That said, there was plenty of hurt and loss, action, adventure and heat all packed in to a short read.

It might not be the most popular tale in the Eternal Mates books so far and I may be in the minority when it comes to this lovely litle novella but it's probably my favourite of the books to date. Another great read from Felicity and easily a recommended standalone even though it's part of a series!
